Popstrology

Correction! Mine is That's the Way (I Like It) by KC and the Sunshine Band. I don't like that song. But let me tell you, 1975 was a banner year in the Music Industry.

That's my JAM!

My sister and I just saw the video for Signs with Snoop and JT the other day...The video's ok...but I haven't heard a song that just makes me wanna dance like that in I don't know how long. If Michael Jackson still made music like this people would be a lot more sympathetic to him. When we went to this party last night, this was on strict repeat on the iPod.

Does anyone else do this?

In honor of my newly emerging food obsessions, I'll list a couple more foods that I'm eating a lot of...inexplicably. These are clearly foods I don't mind eating, but don't recall craving. It's not like my Cousin Athena that will ONLY eat BRC burritos from El Pollo Loco.

1. Wheat Thins and Diet Cola...Maybe because I've been in too many offices the past few weeks, but this seems to be my pick-me-up fuel of choice.

2. Taco Bell MexiMelts...Tacos with MELTED cheese. Yummy enough.

3. So for maybe the past 3 weeks I've eaten like 3 Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches a week. Considering that before that, the last one I ate was probably like 3 years ago, this is a bit out of nowhere.

I want the eboutique to be operational NOW!

Boule Bakery

I've always dreamt of being fabulous enough to order Payard as thank you gifts. Even though this is a patisserie, not a chocolatier, it'll do. I love the blips and whirrs the site makes as you navigate. Scrolling over the sidebar menu sounds like a xylophone.

Brazilian IKEA

etna

Like I need more of a motivation to go there.

Increasingly Bizarre!

Bobby Fischer--We Want HIM!

This poor man's life couldn't be more bizarre if he was the son of Charlie Kaufman and Frank Zappa and Jane Fonda (for good measure!)

It's that time of year again!

Cadbury Creme Eggs

I am not particularly a chocolate freak as girls can be. But whenever these little buggers come back in the store it's like this manic thing and I have to have one EVERY DAY. This week, I've probably had 3 or 4. I like to refrigerate them so that the creme is more solidified--if they even make it to the fridge! My roommate likes the mini-eggs with the crackling outer layer. I admit, if there's nothing else to eat in the house, I have been known to partatke--of the whole bag. But I swear I'm not a chocolate craver. Would I be like this if this stuff was available all year round? And who knew Cadbury and Schweppes were a congolmerate? Chocolate and ginger ale?

The city that can't afford its history

St. Augustine, FL

I don't know why but stuff like this makes me sad.

This was the way lamest part of my trip to Mexico over Memorial Day last year...The Fox Studios outside of Rosarito.

At the Facer's house, just about to tear things up last October.

This is my best friend Charity and I at Tommy's like a year ago. Damn her and her cool purple hair.

This is my cousin Jason and I at my brother's wedding in the courtyard at the PV Golf Course, March 5, 2005.

Who gave this one the greenlight?

Marie-Antoinette

Although I didn't like Lost in Translation like everyone else, I do like Sofia Coppola and her sensibilities. The life of Marie-Antionette may not be quintessentially her material, but ok, she wants to stretch and try different things. Have you read the cast list? Kristen Dunst in the title Role? Jason Schwartzman as Louis XVI? And Molly Shannon? This sounds like a disaster, and not in a good way.
